In Potu Ono we are learning how to take pictures in angles and different camera techniques to show the best version of myself.
In Potu Ono, we have been learning about photography and how to take creative photos using different angles and camera techniques. It’s been an exciting journey to see how changing just a small detail—like the position of the camera—can completely change the way a picture looks!
We started by learning about different camera angles. These include:
We also tried out different techniques, like focusing on an object in the foreground while blurring the background, or using the rule of thirds to make our photos more balanced. We discovered how zooming in can reveal details we didn’t notice before, and framing our shots with objects like trees or windows can create more interesting photos.
Learning about angles and techniques has helped us see the world in new ways. We’ve had fun experimenting with how these skills can tell a story or change the mood of a photo. Some of us found that taking photos from a low angle made simple objects look larger-than-life, while high-angle shots made even big things seem tiny!
We’re excited to keep practising these new photography skills. Who knows what kind of stories we can tell through the photos we take next? Stay tuned for more of our photo projects!
Today I learnt how to create a QR code so my family can see what I been learning with Mrs Raj.
Today I learnt how big my digital footprint is. I identified key words and learned how to take a screenshot of my work. I learnt this with Mr. Matautia and Mrs Raj. Mrs Raj taught us how to blog. I enjoyed doing this work.
